As previously announced by the Government a sixth payment of the Resurgence Support Payment scheme (for the Alert Level increase which started on 17 August) will become open to applications from 8am on Friday 26 November.
To be eligible for the payment a business or organisation will need to experience a 30% drop in revenue due to the increased alert levels, in a consecutive 7-days starting on or after 19 November 2021. The drop in revenue must be compared to a typical 7-days in the 6 weeks prior to 17 August 2021.
The Government has also set the end date for the affected revenue period for the 4th, 5th and 6th payments to the day before any part of the country moves into the COVID Protection Framework. Based on the Prime Minister's announcements this week, we expect that end date will therefore be December 1. Applications would then be open until January 13.
We realise all these dates can be confusing. Next week, once there is a confirmed date that Auckland will move into the COVID Protection Framework, we will send out a simple explanation of all the payments that are available and all the relevant dates.
In the meantime, it's worth reminding your clients that applications for the first three Resurgence Support Payments (for the current Alert Level increase) close on December 1.
