ADLS digital signing is part of your existing WebForms package. There is no sign up fee.
ADLS has further developed its secure digital signing service to make it available for signing Authority & Instruction (A&I) forms. While all the more timely as practitioners adapt to challenges presented by COVID-19, this added service is the culmination of more than 18 months’ work overseen by lawyers and experts. ADLS had been consulting with the Registrar General of Land (RGL) and this tool was in its pilot stage.
In the current circumstances, the RGL has approved the use of ADLS digital signing and accompanying protocol for remote signing and witnessing of A&I forms required for electronic registration. In addition (and as the original form of this service requires the witness to be physically present with the client while signing at a distance), the RGL is allowing a combination of ADLS’ A&I digital signing service and audio-visual (the latter in accordance with LINZ’ e-dealing guidelines, as updated) for lawyer-client witnessing. We emphasise that it is only the lawyer acting who can complete digital signing remotely for their own client using a combination of audio-visual and our digital signing.
We advise you to read the A&I digital signing protocol, the 3-step overview and guide before you begin, bearing in mind that we are in the process of updating them to reflect the recent change permitted by the RGL.
