Corrections amends ban on prison visits during lockdown

On 25 March - the day New Zealand went into COVID-19 level 4 alert - the Department of Corrections suspended all prison visits by legal advisers, specific visitors and statutory visitors.

It was a controversial move. On 3 April the ban was varied to allow for an exception where the visit was pre-approved.
