Work Experience - Coming Soon

The Work Experience programme interface is getting an upgrade

This programme is a partnership between ADLS and the 6 New Zealand university law students' societies. It aims to promote part-time paid and occasionally volunteer work experience opportunities available within law firms, to final year law students.

A new system is currently being worked on to create a better experience for both students looking for that foot in the door and law firms who want to offer an opportunity to the future's lawyers.

Make sure you come back here soon to see the new system.

Students looking for opportunities

While we work on the launch of the new Work Experience programme system, ADLS will continue to make each of the law student societies' aware of opportunities. Make sure you keep an eye out for opportunities posted on your law students' society Facebook pages and announcements from your universities careers team.

Want to list a work experience opportunity?

The system may not be fully operational just yet, but we can still let the relevant universities know when you have an opportunity come up.

Complete this form and we will pass on the details.

Have a voluntary opportunity for an aspiring law student?

ADLS expects that where unpaid positions are offered, these are genuine learning experiences of between 1 - 4 weeks of duration. If the law student is to do work that an employee would otherwise do, ADLS would expect that to be offered as a paid opportunity.

View the guideline on what we consider best practice for work experience positions.
